JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — A man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly fleeing from authorities in Jonesborough.

According to a news release from the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), Brandon Cage Fenner was arrested after he fled from deputies near West College Street and North Second Avenue in Jonesborough.

Deputies patrolling the area reportedly saw a motorcycle run a stop sign and attempted a traffic stop near Main Street.

Fenner, 26, allegedly fled, turned onto Persimmon Ridge Road and crossed Highway 11 East into a parking lot.

“Fenner then ran from deputies through the business,” WCSO said in a news release. “While running, he took off the black jacket he was wearing and exited out the back door. Deputies took him into custody a short distance from the exit. Fenner had $796 in cash, a couple of baggies that appeared to have drug residue in them and a glass pipe with residue all in his pockets.”

Baggies, three glass pipes and three syringes were found in a bag on his motorcycle, the press release stated.

The WCSO also recovered the black jacket and found a handgun in the pocket.

Fenner was charged with evading arrest, unlawful carrying of a weapon, drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license (second time or more).

Fenner was taken to the Washington County Detention Center. As of Thursday, he’s being held on a $22,000 bond.
