Mom Calls Cops After Daughter Doesn’t Respond to Texts

A concerned mom wasn’t going to take “no response” for an answer. She contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office just before 2 am to request they check on her daughter. She said the woman had recently gone through a breakup and didn’t want to talk to her.

The mother had contacted On-Star and tracked the daughter’s car to her workplace. She said she texted the daughter a few minutes previously and she asked that she leave her alone.

Officers didn’t find the vehicle at the reported location, but a dispatcher did call the woman and let her know her mother was trying to find her. A few minutes later, the mother notified officers that her daughter had called her father and told him she was fine.
