Police are looking for a suspect involved in an abduction who fled from law enforcement in Abingdon.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) – The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office is warning the public to be on the lookout for a man wanted for abduction.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, authorities are actively searching for Dakota Manuel Reynolds, who is wanted in both Washington County, Va. and Smyth County.

Reynolds allegedly ran from deputies after they attempted a traffic stop around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The sheriff’s office stated he fled from the vehicle in the area of Westwood Dr./Exit 14 in Abingdon.

As of 8:30 a.m., Reynolds had not been found and is considered at large.

He is charged with the following:

Reynolds has a beard and tattoos. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie.
