OCOEE, Fla. – An Ocoee man arrested over the weekend on charges of driving under the influence and fleeing a crash scene apparently never had a driver’s license, according to police.

Jail records show Exalin Osberto Escobar Perez, 30, was arrested Saturday after a crash at the corner of AD Mims Road and Wurst Road in Ocoee.

The arrest report has not been released yet, but police citations say Escobar Perez had a blood alcohol level of 0.244, three times the legal limit in Florida.

He was cited for failing to stop after the crash, which police say he caused. One citation says the crash caused property damage, while another says someone was hurt in the wreck. News 6 is working to learn more details.

Police also say Escobar Perez never had a valid driver’s license.

Escobar Perez appeared before a judge Monday morning, where bond was set at $7,000 and a public defender was appointed.
