AUGUSTA, Ga. () – In a heartwarming collaboration, Purses Filled With Passion, a charitable organization based locally, has partnered with the Salvation Army of Augusta to extend a helping hand to women in need.
The initiative by Purses Filled With Passion involves distributing essential hygiene products to women residing at the Center of Hope Homeless Shelter.
Deborah Brooks, who launched the non-profit in 2019, was inspired to create a support network that assures women facing hardships that they are not alone.
“I observed other groups engaging in similar activities and thought, why not create something unique? That’s how Purses Filled With Passion was born,” Brooks explained. “My heart is in helping others, showing love. Everything you see today, from the purses to their contents, is donated. Occasionally, we receive financial contributions, which I use to purchase various items to fill the bags for these women.”
Inside each purse, recipients will find essentials such as soap, toothpaste, and clothing suitable for cooler weather, along with uplifting books or cards to inspire and encourage them.
