Scooter Prompts Thomas Avenue Melee
A disagreement over a scooter led to a brawl on Thomas Avenue.
It all started at 7:20 pm when officers responded to a Wayne Hills Apartment for a report of a scooter taken from an apartment.
A child brought a scooter that he found to another apartment, and the woman who lived there erased the name on the scooter and wrote her child’s name instead.

When officers spoke to the woman about the incident, she claimed that someone had stolen her child’s scooter two months ago, but she hadn’t reported it to the police. She agreed to return the scooter.
However, two hours later, officers were called back to the apartment for a report of a large group of people arguing.
Police learned the two women from the earlier report were fighting, and the crowd was attempting to pull them apart. Officers said that no one was injured. They advised the women to avoid each other.
