AUGUSTA/WAYNESBORO, Ga. () – A second person is now in custody for a Robbery and Homicide in Augusta.
Antwan Herndon of Waynesboro came forward to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office Sunday evening. He was wanted in connection to the January 10th Augusta Smoke Shop
robbery/murder.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators came to Burke County to question Herndon.
Authorities say Herndon gave investigators sufficient information for them to charge him in
connection to the the alleged crime.
Terrance Walker, the first suspect apprehended by BCSO’s Crime Suppression Team (CST) the night of the crime, had not been cooperating with investigators regarding the other two suspects, Burke County officials say.
Herdon is in custody in Burke County awaiting extradition to Augusta.
