HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Authorities have apprehended two men in connection with a cocaine trafficking operation in Beaufort County.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, collaborating with the Drug Enforcement Administration, announced the arrests of 41-year-old Xavier Alexander Rosa-Cabrera and 38-year-old Rey-Agustin Zamora-Perez.
Officials revealed that Zamora-Perez is an undocumented immigrant hailing from Mexico.
The arrests followed an extensive investigation spanning several months, during which undercover agents engaged with the suspects, ultimately leading to a covert cocaine purchase. Subsequent to their arrest, law enforcement executed search warrants at the Hilton Head Island residence shared by Rosa-Cabrera and Zamora-Perez.
During the search, authorities seized approximately four kilograms of cocaine and $25,000 in cash. Both men face charges related to the sale, distribution, and trafficking of cocaine.
