Sheriff: Greene County man arrested for child pornography

A Greene County man has been apprehended on charges related to child pornography, following an inquiry initiated by a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department released a statement revealing that Timothy Glenn Hart faces these allegations. Previously, Hart was incarcerated on September 2, 2025, for failing to comply with the sex offender registry requirements, with his bond then set at $10,000.

“During our ongoing investigation, we examined Hart’s electronic devices and discovered child sexual abuse material (CSAM),” the sheriff’s department detailed in their announcement. “Furthermore, it was uncovered that Hart had distributed CSAM to another individual.”

Hart is currently detained at the Greene County Detention Center, with his bond for the new charges established at $75,000. He is scheduled to make a court appearance on January 16 at 9 a.m.

As of Tuesday, Hart is being held in the Greene County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond for the new charges. He is set to appear in court on Jan 16 at 9 a.m.
