SAVANNAH, Ga. — A slight shift in the weather pattern is expected this weekend, though sunshine will make a comeback as we transition into the beginning of the holiday workweek. Today promises to be another warm day, with temperatures climbing to the low 80s. Expect increased cloudiness and the possibility of a few isolated showers this afternoon as a weak cold front approaches from the west.

This front will usher in cooler, yet still mild, conditions for Sunday and Monday. Anticipate Sunday’s highs to retreat to the mid to upper 70s, accompanied by plenty of sunshine. Monday will also remain sunny, with temperatures slightly cooler, peaking in the lower to mid 70s.

By midweek, temperatures will rise again as a warm front makes its way in, pushing highs into the mid to upper 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday, amidst a mix of sun and clouds. However, Wednesday, known as a major travel day, may see isolated showers and storms due to a stronger cold front moving through.

The silver lining: this system is predicted to clear out by Wednesday night, just before Thanksgiving morning. Though a few morning showers might linger, Thanksgiving Day should progressively brighten up with some sun. It will be a cooler holiday, with highs only reaching the mid to upper 60s.

Expect even cooler temperatures on Black Friday, with continued sunshine and highs ranging from the upper 50s to lower 60s. Both Thanksgiving and Black Friday are shaping up to be sunny but cooler than the seasonal average.
