Two Individuals Sentenced for the Murder of Travis Edwards in 2021

Bricktowne Flats murder trial begins, former SPD officer takes center stage

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. () — The two men convicted of killing Travis Edwards at the Bricktowne Flats apartments in 2021 were sentenced by a Chatham County judge on Wednesday.

Terry Rucker, 20, and Harold Roberson, 21, were sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

A jury convicted the two of murder and aggravated assault on Aug. 25.

Vaquez Coleman, 20, who was acquitted for murder but convicted of a drug charge, was sentenced to five years with no parole.

Coleman and Roberson are set to appear Sept. 29 alongside co-defendant Joshua Reddick, 24, for the 2023 double murder of 16-year-old Semaj Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield. They are alleged to have committed the double murder while out on bond awaiting trial for Edwards’ murder.
