NEW YORK – Walmart has announced that Doug McMillon, the company’s CEO, is set to retire in January. The news was confirmed by the retail giant on Friday.
Stepping into the role will be John Furner, who is currently in charge of Walmart’s U.S. operations and has been a key figure within the company for many years.
McMillon will officially step down on January 31, 2026. Furner is scheduled to assume the CEO position on the following day.
