WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A press conference will be held Monday to discuss a three-year $1 million grant to provide support and expansions at the Washington County Detention Center.
Sheriff Keith Sexton with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) and Lisa Tipton, Executive Director of Families Tree, will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. discussing the WCSO’s plans for a three-year $1 million grant for evidence-based programs in the Washington County Detention Center.
The grant will reportedly assist in mental health, substance abuse and recovery support, as well as expanding the facility’s work release program, according to WCSO.
