Former Bachelor star Monique Morley has spoken about an extremely terrifying situation that happened to her while on holiday in the Caribbean.
The reality TV star, 35, was left ‘practically paralysed’ after her drink was spiked while she was in a bar in the resort last weekend.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, the influencer, who was on the 2019 series of The Bachelor Australia, said she was spiked in a bar during the middle of the day.
There was barely anyone in the bar except for another man who walked past her, however, his motives appeared sinister.
While he shuffled past her, Monique said she was looking out at the ocean, and it’s then that she believes the man drugged her, despite her only looking away from her drink for a split second.

‘My drink had only just been served and when I turned back to drink it, I started to feel really weird – mostly in my legs. I asked my girlfriend if she felt the same and she said no,’ she told the publication.
‘I said, “Hey I think my drink has been spiked”. She asked how, as we were the only people there, but it must have been that guy. The drink was only left unattended for five seconds.’
Monique said she then started to feel really dizzy and asked her friend to take her home.

When she got back to their accommodation, the influencer said she was ‘practically paralysed’ and she was ‘violently sick’ for hours.
The reality star has spoken out about her terrifying ordeal so that other women hopefully aren’t targeted like she was.
‘With holidays approaching, please can everyone be so so careful when out, especially when travelling and overseas,’ she said on Instagram.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, the influencer, who was on the 2019 series of The Bachelor Australia, said she was spiked in a bar during the middle of the day.
‘Watch your drinks and always have someone you trust around you. You should always listen to your gut too and remove yourself from situations you don’t feel comfortable in.’
Posting to her Instagram grid on Tuesday, the influencer shared a bikini photo from her holiday, with the caption: ‘You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.’
In the comments, one of Monique’s followers asked how she is doing after being spiked.
She replied: ‘Honestly. It’s the scariest thing but you can’t let the what if stop you. I have panics all the time but meditate myself out of it eventually. You’re stronger than you think.’
