A former professor from Colorado has sparked controversy with his heated remarks directed at supporters of Turning Point USA, labeling them as ‘Nazis’ in a tense incident following a university’s policy reversal.
On November 7, David Kozak, who previously taught at Fort Lewis College, was captured on video vehemently criticizing conservatives, using terms like ‘Nazis’ and ‘fascists,’ while also making an obscene gesture at the camera filming the confrontation.
This outburst occurred after the college initially decided to prevent a Turning Point USA chapter from forming on campus. However, during a meeting held on November 7, the college reversed its stance, ultimately allowing the chapter’s establishment.
The footage, shared by Libs of TikTok on social media platform X, depicts Kozak being physically obstructed by a woman as he voiced his disapproval to the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College. This student body had convened an emergency meeting to finalize the approval of the chapter.
The college association’s earlier decision to block the chapter had already stirred significant backlash, leading to the eventual approval.

‘There’s no need for that we haven’t said anything to you. Thank you,’ the woman blocking him said.
As Kozak said ‘f*** the Nazi’s’ to the camera, a member of the crowd began telling him that Jesus loves him, which insighted him to sarcastically call back ‘Oh, he does?’

‘And he loves Nazi’s too, huh? Fascists?’ Kozak continued.
The woman blocking him then responded that, ‘Jesus loves everybody, Christ – Our God loves everybody.’
‘He loves fascists, he loves Nazi’s, he loves haters,’ Kozak responded.
A spokesperson for the college told the Daily Mail in a statement: ‘Mr Kozak retired from Fort Lewis College in 2022 and is no longer employed at the college.’
‘Fort Lewis College is committed to fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment that values both free expression and responsible leadership.,’ the spokesperson continued.
‘Fort Lewis College appreciates ASFLC’s leadership in addressing a complex issue and continues to support students in developing their understanding of free expression, inclusion, and civic responsibility.
‘Our students have seized this opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue about civil discourse, free speech, and free expression.’
The decision to block a chapter from the college came as a student-backed petition, which garnered hundreds of signatures, argued against the chapter and said the organization ‘has engaged in actions that directly harm our community.’
‘At a college where many students identify as Indigenous, students of color, LGBTQ+, or from other underrepresented backgrounds, this harm cannot be ignored,’ the petition said.
‘We are calling on Fort Lewis College to take action that prioritizes student safety and well-being by refusing to recognize the TPUSA chapter as an RSO.’
A spokesperson for the college said that Kozak had retired in 2022

The petition pointed out TPUSA’s plans to host a transphobic activist on Transgender Remembrance Day, its role in peddling a petition calling to reinstate gendered bathrooms and ‘normalcy,’ and the organization’s ‘public rhetoric and on-campus activities’ that ‘spread division, intolerance, and fear among marginalized communities.’
Flynn, a senior student at the college, said the chapter’s block was an attack on free expression, Fox News reported.
His efforts to have the board of seven elected senators approve the chapter, at the time, were unsuccessful.
‘Many of our morals and interests must be pushed to the side,’ Asa Worthington, the student body president of the association, told the outlet.
‘The safety of our student body and the FLC community has always been and always will be ASFLC’s top priority.’
Flynn’s plan for the chapter, according to critics, mirrored TPUSA’s ‘professor watchlist’ – which calls for professors who allegedly discriminate against conservative students and teach ‘leftist propaganda’ in the classroom to be ‘unmasked.’
The watchlist initiative was created by TPUSA’s founder Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed in September, and faced masses of backlash for its potential to present safety risks for educators.
