President Donald Trump is set to welcome Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday for a series of significant events focusing on investments and defense agreements. The agenda includes discussions about fulfilling investment commitments made earlier this year.
The day will kick off with a bilateral meeting between Trump and the crown prince in the Oval Office at 11:45 a.m., followed by a lunch in the Cabinet Room. The evening will conclude with a formal dinner in the East Room at 7:15 p.m., attended by the president, the First Lady, and the crown prince, according to details from the White House.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly conveyed the importance of the visit in a statement to Breitbart News, noting, “President Trump eagerly anticipates hosting Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud for an official working visit. Thanks to our Dealmaker-in-Chief, the U.S. secured $600 billion in historic investments during the President’s earlier visit to Saudi Arabia, and we can expect further beneficial deals in sectors like technology, manufacturing, critical minerals, and defense.”
This meeting comes on the heels of Trump’s previous encounter with bin Salman on May 13 in Saudi Arabia, during his first state visit of his second term. That visit resulted in securing substantial investments for the United States as Trump toured Gulf Arab nations.
Saudi Arabia has committed to a $600 billion investment in the U.S., matching Apple’s rank as the fourth-largest investment since Trump resumed office. This agreement includes a $142 billion purchase of military equipment from over a dozen U.S. defense companies.
A senior White House official noted that Tuesday’s deals are expected to include a multi-billion-dollar investment in American AI infrastructure, enhanced cooperation on civil nuclear energy, fulfillments of the massive U.S. investment from Saudi Arabia through dozens of investments, and defense sales to strengthen defense cooperation between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.
Trump has frequently hosted world leaders at the White House since returning to office 10 months ago. His most recent guests were Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on November 10 and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on November 7. He has also hosted Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky since the start of October.
