This is the shocking moment an LA bus rider stole the wallet of an 86-year-old woman who was lying on the ground after another man knocked her unconscious.
The incident took place at around 2:40 p.m. on August 8 in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood in the south of the city.
The footage from a Metro bus surveillance camera showed multiple people standing around the victim, doing nothing.
Suddenly, one man steals her wallet from the unconscious, incapacitated woman’s purse.
Multiple people had tried to intervene but were unable to stop the man from getting away.

Patrol officers were eventually called to the scene, where the woman was ‘severely injured’ from the initial assault, according to the LAPD.
One of the suspects – the man who initially assaulted the woman – was taken into custody shortly after Southwest police officers were directed to him.

Fire and paramedics crews eventually responded to take care of the victim, who was sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
She eventually woke up but could not recall what had happened to her or the assault because of a head injury.
The man who robbed the victim is still on the loose, having fled with her wallet from the scene of the crime.

The suspect was wearing a New York Yankees jacket, a dark beanie, dark pants and gray shoes.
He was believed to be in his 40s or 50s and has either a mustache or a goatee. The victim and the initial suspect who committed the assault have not been identified.
