Chaos erupted at a school meeting attended by conservative and progressive parents this week when a woman reportedly told a black man to ‘get out of the country’ after he criticized the board’s decision to do away with critical race theory.

The unrest at the Southern California school meeting Wednesday came without warning, and saw Temecula Valley Unified School District board president Joseph Komrosky order the irate man removed.

The decision, however, was promptly met with pushback from those in attendance – as well as one of Komrosky’s fellow board members – as they questioned why the man was being booted merely for expressing outrage over the alleged verbal attack.

Parents from both sides of the political spectrum would go on to clash in a hectic display that saw members of the public angrily chant ‘do your jobs’ to members of the board – who recently voted to hire an ‘anti-CRT consultant’ with taxpayer funds.

Footage taken by those in attendance shows much of the disorder, with members of the overwhelmed board seen standing from their seats as the event devolved into madness.

Eventually, the board’s president would succumb to the pressure – ordering the woman reportedly responsible for the racist insult off the premises as well.

The incident began when the man, identified by the board as ‘Deon’, took to the podium to express his distaste over the district’s December decision to allocate $15,000 in taxpayer funds for sessions with anti-CRT consultant.

Slamming the maneuver as ‘asinine’, Deon used his allotted time to decry the board – citing how ‘[CRT] isn’t even taught in any K-through-12 classroom in the US.’

‘Your continued blatant, willful ignorance of the black experience in this country is not only shameful but also detrimental to the education and growth of our children,’ Deon said, speaking in a calm but impassioned manner.

‘It is a disappointing to see people with a problem with history being taught,’ he added.

‘It is widely recognized by the vast majority of experts that bringing CRT into the K to 12 classroom is just as outlandish as bringing calculus to the first-grade classroom. Neither idea is viable or credible.’

At first greeted with applause, as he went to sit down, Deon said he heard the snide remark from a woman in the audience, who is seen in some of the footage but has yet to be identified.

The decision, however, was promptly met with pushback from those in attendance - as well as one of Komrosky's fellow board members - as they questioned why the man was being booted merely for expressing outrage over the alleged verbal attack

Eventually, amid the pronounced reaction, the woman pointed out by Deon was also removed, in a clip also circulating on social media.

According to Deon, who angrily repeated her alleged words aloud, the woman had told him to ‘get out of the country.’

The offensive barb is not audible in any footage of the event, though board member Steven Schwartz later confirmed to Newsweek that the woman ‘made a comment to the effect that he should get out of the country.’

‘He responded to her and the audience became angry.’

Members of the board at the time did not witness the interaction, being seated several dozen feet away from the designated spot that members of the public were allowed to speak.

Thus, when Deon angrily responded to the woman while making his way back to his seat, members of the board gave him a ‘first warning’ that if we were to engage in another outburst again, he would be escorted out of the auditorium.

The warning was delivered by Komrosky, who moments later would make good on his threat and demand security remove the man when he continued to protest the woman’s alleged behavior.

‘If I feel that way, why don’t I get out of the country?’ he can be heard saying in multiple clips circulating on social media of the altercation, which quickly descended into degeneracy.

‘She said, “Get out of the country,”‘ Deon is heard saying after being reprimanded by the district staffer. ‘She told me to get out of the country.’

He angrily added, while pointing out the unidentified woman in her seat: ‘My family has been here since August 16, 1619.’

After that assertion, Komrosky, seemingly wary of the contentious nature of the meeting’s subject matter, asked the man to be escorted out of the building.

The order was promptly met with outrage, with the crowd erupting into shouts and chants.

Upon noticing the burgeoning unrest as the man was walked off by security, Komrosky replied: ‘If you’d like, the whole auditorium can leave.’

Members of the public could be heard shouting ‘take the woman [out instead]’ and to ‘do your jobs’ – a stark reaction that was livestreamed on the district’s official Youtube Channel

Board member Allison Barclay would also express her distaste over her colleagues’ decision, seconds before a befuddled Komrosky ordered an immediate recess.

‘I object to that. If that woman said that to him, she needs to be excused,’ Barclay said.

But members of the crowd stayed, and eventually clashed with one another in a series of recorded incidents viewed by thousands online.

Eventually, amid the pronounced reaction, the woman pointed out by Deon was also removed, in a clip also circulating on social media.

Speaking to Newsweek, Schwarz recalled the furor that took place, which saw police forced to step in as members of both camps hurled chants and insults at each other.

‘The meeting devolved into chaos, and the board president declared a recess,’ he explained.

‘It was a sad day seeing our community so divided on such a non-issue in our district that was contrived to push forward a political agenda and distract from our true work, which is providing high-quality education and learning in our award-winning schools.’
