Israel Defence Forces chiefs claim the drop shows they are trying to limit civilian casualties.

Their spokesman said: “The map divides the territory of Gaza into zones

“This enables residents to evacuate from specific places for their safety.”

The IDF also published statements in Arabic, English and Hebrew on social media accounts.

Hamas-run Gaza health authority chiefs said 15,200 had been killed since its fighters claimed 1,200 Israeli lives and kidnapped 200 on October 7.

The UN estimates up to 1.8million people have left homes in Gaza as Israeli forces pour in.

Hamas freed 86 Israelis and 24 others during a week’s truce which ended when it was accused of firing rockets into Israel

Deputy chief Saleh Al-Arouri last night warned no more prisoners would be swapped until there was a ceasefire and all Palestinian detainees were freed.

He said: “Let the war take its course.”
