This is the moment that a furious motorist drives through a crowd of Just Stop Oil protestors during rush hour.

The man is shown pleading with the eco-clowns to move out of the way, before saying ‘I will run you over’, as the protestors place themselves in front of his van.

Just Stop Oil supporters have taken up positions on London‘s bridges during busy periods in order to enforce their message.

A fellow driver is seen shouting at the protestors after the van manages to accelerate through the horde.

A mob of 68 Just Stop Oil eco-worries took a stand around Waterloo, Blackfriars, London Bridge and Tower Bridge this evening, holding up traffic.

Police arrived and public order notices were issued on all of the marches by 17:25. No arrests were made.

Supporters of the group are into their sixth week of marching every day in central London, as part of a bid to force the Government to halt all new licences for oil, gas and coal projects.

Today’s incident marks the next instalment of a long ling of protests which has seen major events such as the Grand National and the World Snooker Championships disrupted by orange-clad eco-warriors.

Last week, activists caused outrage after they kidnapped three lambs from a royal farm and attacked the famed Chelsea Flower Show, throwing orange dye over a show garden.

Tory veteran Peter Bone said condemned the movement by saying: ‘When a very, very tiny minority is ruining the lives of other people, action needs to be taken. If this were to continue and the current laws are not strong enough, the Government will have to introduce new laws.’

Despite calls from police to leave officers to do their work and to not intervene, the public’s patience with the group is wearing thin, with clips surfacing on social media of members of the public physically moving protestors in some cases.

Met Police commander Karen Findlay said: ‘I completely understand the frustration and anger felt by the public, who are seriously disrupted by a relatively small number of protesters and their deliberate tactics.

‘Activists are affecting people’s businesses, their lives, whether they are on their way to a doctor, a long-awaited hospital appointment, on their way to work, to interviews, or to collect children.’

She continued: ‘We will arrive quickly, deal with the situation efficiently, remove and arrest activists as appropriate and return things to normal as soon as possible.

‘Please do not take matters into your own hands.’

Last week, footage emerged of a commuter taking matters into his own hands after he threw protestors of the road during a slow march in central London, before ripping their banners out of their hands.

Two police officers, who are escorting the group, then intervene and grapple with the member of the public, who is handcuffed against the side of the van. During the struggle, the officer says: ‘You are f*****g assaulting people’.

‘We completely understand the frustration and anger of London’s communities when protesters walk slowly in the roads.

‘We urge people not to intervene and to let police deal with the situation who, if not already there, will arrive promptly.’

Despite complaints that the response from the police against protestors has been lax, Home Secretary Suella Braverman has vowed to stop ‘seflish, disruptive protesters’ from ‘wreaking havoc in people’s everyday lives’.

Police have been handed new powers to intervene against ‘highly disruptive’ slow marching tactics used by groups such as Just Stop Oil.

It means police have the power to force protesters out of the road and on to the pavement.

Concerns are growing over Saturday’s FA Cup Final, with security bosses set to be on high alert over the prospect of activists targeting the match to promote their cause.

Mail Sport understands that the prospect of encroachment onto the playing surface has played a major part in planning ahead of the Wembley Manchester derby.

Two Just Stop Oil protestors have been charged after a protest at the Gallagher Premiership Rugby union final at Twickenham last Saturday.

Both activists were caught after they invaded the pitch and through orange paint powder during the game between Saracens and Sale.

A statement from the eco-group after the invasion said they would ‘continue to take disruptive action until this government stops new fossil fuels’.

Since the Just Stop Oil campaign launched on February 14 2022, 2,200 arrests have been made by police.
