Shoppers who bought the power bank have been urged to stop using it.

The pocket-sized device, manufactured in China, was sold for between $32 and $40 between September 2023 and July 2025.

The item was distributed by Waymeet and shoppers should contact the company for a refund.

Shoppers must take a picture of the item and write the word “Recalled” on it in a permanent marker.

Customers have been warned that they must not throw away their power bank in the trash.

So far, Waymeet chiefs have received nine reports of the power banks catching fire and exploding.

These explosions have caused around $20,000 in damages.

No injuries have been reported.

The power banks were sold in a set of colors, including dark blue, gray, white and black.

There are a set of five lights on one side of the power bank.
