As he warms up for a 2024 presidential run, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is claiming that he’s opposed to US intervention and aid for Ukraine in their war against Russia, but over the last decade, DeSantis has staunchly supported the taxpayer-funded aid packages that have prolonged and escalated the conflict, and that have dragged America and the world to the brink of World War 3.

As support for Ukraine and its globalist government, which came to power after a Soros-backed revolution, wanes among GOP voters and even some Democrats, Governor Ron DeSantis is changing his stripes on the issue, while seemingly hoping that his interventionist stance on the Russo-Ukrainian War is lost to history. Recently, DeSantis said that the Russo-Ukrainian War is a “territorial dispute” between the two nations and that the United States shouldn’t be involved, a position that is the complete and total opposite of the one he took as a member of Congress when he blasted the interventionist Obama Administration for not being interventionist enough.

After the Soros-backed revolution of 2014, when Crimea voted by more than 90% to secede from Ukraine and join Russia, then-Congressman Ron DeSantis joined the uni-party in voting for the “Ukraine Support Act,” which codified America’s “support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity” of Ukraine, by way of media manipulation, public-private partnerships and, of course, military aid and financial aid.

The following year, with military conflicts in separatist regions like Donetsk fairly hot, DeSantis told radio host Bill Bennett that the Obama Administration wasn’t doing enough to escalate US involvement in the conflict, which from the very beginning has drawn major concerns of going nuclear. DeSantis told Bennett that he had been “urging” Obama to “provide arms to Ukraine.”

“We in the Congress have been urging the President, I’ve been, to provide arms to Ukraine. They want to fight their good fight,” said DeSantis. “They’re not asking us to fight it for them. And the President has steadfastly refused. And I think that’s a mistake.”

“If we were to arm the Ukrainians, I think that would send a strong signal to [Vladimir Putin] that he shouldn’t be going any further,” DeSantis said.

Even in 2017, as a populist wave of non-interventionism took root within the GOP by way of the MAGA movement, DeSantis compared himself to Ronald Reagan, blasting Democrats for not doing enough to back Ukraine while saying that “guys like me” are “tough on Russia.”

Though DeSantis now claims to be opposed to US intervention and aid in Ukraine, he has still joined the uni-party in heaping praise upon Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who has been blasted as of yet for his claims that Americans will have to “die” to preserve his government.
