'She made her feelings very clear': Susanna Reid, 52, reportedly stormed off of the Good Morning Britain set as she is said to have fumed at staff over string of embarrassing errors

Susanna Reid is said to have stormed off the Good Morning Britain set this week following a string of bust-ups with the show’s production team.

The broadcaster, 52, allegedly ‘made her feelings very clear’ as reportedly ‘angrily shouted’ at production staff after they made a slew of errors.

Spelling mistakes, wrong dates and graphic mis-designs have all slipped through the cracks during live broadcasts of the show in recent weeks, leaving the host allegedly embarrassed.

Among the errors was one incident in which News Correspondent Ben Chapman’s name was spelt incorrectly during his live broadcast from Romania.

As Ranvir Singh presented the segment, she introduced Ben for his section – with his name appearing on the screen as ‘Ben Champan’.

While another incident saw GMB air a segment paying tribute to the death of Lisa Marie Presley, with the word ‘remembering’ also spelt wrong on screen, as the graphic read: ‘Remebering’.

And that wasn’t all, as the wrong date appeared to be shown while Susanna was presenting the show one morning.

A source allegedly told The Sun: ‘She [Susanna] made her feelings very clear, angrily shouting that the mistakes made her and the whole show look stupid — as she stormed off camera and confronted production staff.

‘Susanna is totally professional and just wants high standards — as Piers [Morgan] or any other presenter would have done. The last thing anyone wants is her walking away in anger,’ they added.

The broadcaster previously hosted the show alongside Piers Morgan, before his departure in 2021.

And since then, she has been joined by a collection of co-hosts – including Richard Madeley and Robert Rinder.

Susanna doesn’t appear to be the only one aggravated by the gaffes, as some viewers took to Twitter during the live morning shows to call out GMB on their mistakes.

Calling out a poster they had made for rugby player Levi Simeon Davis, who went missing in October 2022, many noticed that the graphic appeared to say the wrong year.

‘@gmb your poster for missing Levi has wrong date on it – says October 2023,’ wrote on viewer.

While another advised: ‘Your poster shown on this morning’s news for the missing male is wrong check the date it’s showing October 2023 #GMB.’

Good Morning Britain got into some hot water last week too, but this time it was a verbal error from presenter Richard – rather than a typo.

The presenter was left apologising for misgendering Sam Smith, who goes by they/them pronouns.

Richard had been debating whether or not Sam’s latest music video for I’m Not Here To Make Friends is over-sexualised when the slip-up happened – where he accidentally referred to them as ‘he’.

Co-host Susanna was quick to correct his mistake – with Richard then apologising.

And while a panel was discussing the video, Richard told guest Shivani Dave they ‘had a point’ and they informed him that they too use they/them pronouns.

Richard apologised a second time and said: ‘I am so sorry. I will learn to do that.’

Shivani later tweeted: ‘Been getting messages from people worried about Richard Madley misgendering me on @GMB

‘I corrected him, he apologised and took it on board. A masterclass on how to do things if you mess up, we shared a thumbs up and I told him his hair looks great.’

While Susanna is often praised for keeping her composure during live broadcasts, there have been incidents that she’s let her emotions slip in the past.

In 2021, Susanna was left unimpressed when her co-host at the time Alastair Campbell told her to ‘feel his wrinkly apples’ during an impassioned rant about a low-quality Ocado delivery.

Susanna looked unamused as the former Labour press strategist ranted about the condition of his fruit, which the grocery company attributed to a shortage of pickers, lorry drivers and CO2.
