Two teenage girls have been photographed on the roof of a building in a busy city street

Two teenage girls have been photographed on the roof of a building in a busy city street ‘smoking a bong’ and heckling passers-by.

The pair were pictured sitting on top of the Chemist Warehouse in Chatswood Mall, in Sydney‘s north, about 4pm on Thursday afternoon while shocked pedestrians watched on.

The teens sat with their legs dangling off the edge of the multi-story chemist unafraid of people seeing them.

According to one onlooker, the girls lobbed objects at pedestrians down below to gain their attention.

The Chemist Warehouse store is situated on a busy mall in the heart of Chatswood with market stalls operating just below.

‘The two were just sitting up there just smoking a bong,’ an onlooker told Daily Mail Australia.

‘They (the teenage girls) were waving at people on the street.

‘They just weren’t bothered by the attention or being photographed.’

Another pedestrian said they had alerted police but were confused as to ‘why they took so long’.

‘I’m not even sure if they (police) came,’ they said.

The girls were allegedly on the roof for around half an hour before leaving.

The roof of the chemist appears to be easily accessible with graffiti across much of the building.

A spokesperson for NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia that ‘inquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding this incident’.
