The 29-year-old employee was shot in the arm at 5 am Wednesday.

Police said three other men were allegedly involved.

NYPD police chief of department John Chell told Good Morning America that the dispute started when a group of young men began yelling at the food vendor.

Chell said the men then crossed the street to confront the vendor.

One of the men turned and allegedly shot multiple times towards the food carts.

“Looks like this group walked across 47th Street, one stepped back into the middle of the street, fires down toward the vendors,” Chell said.

Initial reports by local ABC affiliate WABC claimed that the suspect got away on foot, but Chell dispelled those rumors.

“A good quick response, at least, we think we have him off the street,” Chell said.

“We’ll work through this today.”

The unnamed victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is expected to recover.

Wednesday morning’s shooting follows a police-involved shooting that took place on Tuesday night.

During the Tuesday night shooting in Brooklyn, the driver of a stolen Porsche was shot and killed by police.

“Cops tried to pull him over but he took off at a high-rate of speed,” Chell said on Good Morning America.

The chief said that the suspected thief began driving towards four officers and nearly hit a lieutenant.

The lieutenant shot his gun at the drive, but the 28-year-old suspect continued to speed off.

As the suspect tried to evade officers, he crashed into an NYPD car.

The driver was brought to Brookdale Hospital.

“[The driver] succumbed to his injuries,” Chell said.

“This person was on probation for bringing stolen cars into the New York City from Pennsylvania.

“Very dangerous situation last night.”

The passenger in the Porsche was unharmed and taken into custody.
