Fox’s Bill Melugin reported on what happened when he went on a ride-along with the Border Patrol as they conducted an enforcement action in Sacramento on Thursday morning.

He said they went to a Home Depot. When they arrived, he said “suspected illegal immigrants” ran in all directions, and about 10 people were arrested.

Melugin explained, “BP tells us they surveilled the location & ran plates for two days beforehand, with some coming back as previously deported illegal immigrants.” He also said that records checks revealed one of the arrested men was allegedly a felon with a prior conviction for fentanyl trafficking.

Melugin detailed how he was with one team of agents. However, other agents were operating elsewhere in the city. The USBP Chief of the El Centro Sector, Gregory Bovino, revealed that this was the “farthest north” his agents have operated in California during the second Trump administration. It was meant to “send the message that the federal government can and will go wherever they want in the sanctuary state.

“There is no sanctuary from our enforcement efforts,” Chief Bovino told Melugin.
