One of the hosts on ABC’s “The View” questioned if white people should be beaten up by police on Monday.

Whoopi Goldberg, a co-host of “The View”, asked if police beating up white people will cause police reform to occur. Goldberg quickly realized the violent anti-white narrative she was supporting and tried to backpedal her comments.

“Do we need to see White people also get beat before anybody will do anything? I’m not suggesting that. So don’t write us and tell me what a racist I am. I’m just asking is that what people have to see in order to wake up and realize this affects us all?” Goldberg questioned.

The View co-host asked further “But, you know, when will the brutality finally lead to some police reform?”

Goldberg’s comments come in response to Tyre Nichols, a man who was beaten to death by Memphis police last Friday. Video of the encounter shows five Black policemen severely beating Nichols, kicking his head, striking him with a baton, and punching him in the chest relentlessly.

The Memphis Police Department swiftly fired all five officers involved in the incident and they are being charged with a multitude of charges, including second-degree murder and aggravated assault.

This is not the first example of inflammatory racial comments a prominent leftwing show host has said.

In January, National File reported how MSNBC’s Joy Reid called Rep. Byron Donalds’ (R-FL) House speaker nomination a “diversity statement” for House Republicans:

The MSBC host also attacked Donalds for being only a sophomore congressman, fueling her assertion that Donalds was put in the Speaker running because of his race.

“You got into it back-and-forth with a fellow congresswoman who was critical of the nomination because it definitely looked like they were looking for a response to Hakeem Jeffries in you,” Reid said, referencing Democrat Rep. Cori Bush’s tweet which called Donalds a “prop.”

“No, that was not it,” Rep. Donalds interjected.

Reid continued pushing a narrative that suggested Donalds was only supported by Republicans because Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the Democrats’ speaker nominee, was black.

“You’ve literally been there for one term. So you’ve never been in leadership…”
