The 2023 All-Star Game reserves were released on Thursday night, and as always, several deserving players missed out on the honors. Take a look at the five biggest snubs from the reserves.
#1: Anthony Davis
While Anthony Davis has missed 24 games this season, he has played at an MVP level when healthy. In 28 games, the LA Lakers star has averaged 26.8 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.0 blocks per game while shooting 58.3% from the field, 28.9% from 3-point range and 82.5% from the free-throw line. Although Davis finished third in the fan vote, he did not make the final roster.
#2: James Harden
James Harden has missed 16 games and has not scored at the level that he did with the Houston Rockets. However, he leads the NBA in assists. The Philadelphia 76ers star is averaging 21.4 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 11.0 apg, 1.2 spg and 0.5 bpg while shooting 44.9% from the field, 39.4% from 3-point range and 86.4% from the free-throw line.
While the Philadelphia 76ers are in third place in the Eastern Conference, Harden was not chosen as one of the seven All-Star Game reserves.
#3: Trae Young
Trae Young is one of six players who rank in the top 15 in both scoring and assists per game. He is the only one that did not make the ASG. The Atlanta Hawks star is averaging 27.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 9.9 apg, 0.9 spg and 0.1 bpg while shooting 42.8% from the field, 32.2% from 3-point range and 88.6% from the free-throw line. Despite starting in the game last year, Young will not make an appearance in 2023.

#4: De’Aaron Fox
De’Aaron Fox has helped lead the Sacramento Kings to the third-best record in the Western Conference. He is averaging 24.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 6.1 apg, 1.0 spg and 0.3 bpg while shooting 50.6% from the field, 33.2% from 3-point range and 78.8% from the free-throw line. While the Kings had one All-Star in Domantas Sabonis, Fox was snubbed from the reserves.
#5: Pascal Siakam
Pascal Siakam is having a great season despite the Toronto Raptors’ struggles. He is averaging 24.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 6.2 apg, 0.7 spg and 0.6 bpg while shooting 47.0% from the field, 31.4% from 3-point range and 76.7% from the free-throw line. Despite consistently being among the Eastern Conference’s best players this season, Siakam failed to be named as an All-Star Game reserve.
