Sri Lanka will take on Afghanistan in the 3rd ODI on November 30. Afghanistan is a formidable white-ball unit, as evidenced by their performance in the first of three one-day internationals against Sri Lanka. While Ibrahim Zadran led the batters with a beautiful century, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Najibullah Zadran, and former captain Gulbadin Naib also contributed as the visitors scored 294 runs.

Afghanistan annihilated Sri Lanka, with Fazalhaq Farooqi taking four wickets and Naib taking three. Sri Lanka is in a must-win situation since they must enhance their performance in all three areas to stay in the series. Not only that, but a win keeps Sri Lanka’s chances of directly qualifying for next year’s World Cup alive. In that regard, they are in a perilous situation. While Afghanistan have already qualified for the world cup after a no result in the 2nd ODI.
