Cristiano Ronaldo is a global superstar and his reach is not limited to football only. Talents like Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, LeBron James etc., supersede their sport and reach out to millions of fans across the globe.

We all love a good celebration in sports and if it is something that gets all the fans involved, then even better. One such celebration that is synonymous with fans and players worldwide is the ‘siiii’ celebration made famous by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Each time he scores a goal, CR7 runs towards the corner flag, jumps high in the air and brings his hands backwards and utters the word ‘siiii’, which in Spanish means Yes.

A lot of players from various sports have adopted that celebration. Daniel Ricciardo from Formula 1 attempted the celebration with his teammate Lando Norris. Former Indian cricket player, Ashok Dinda incorporated that celebration during the latter stages of his career. Footballers like Jesse Lingard and Paulo Dybala have also copied that celebration and it just goes to show how much of a sporting icon Cristiano Ronaldo is.

Memphis Grizzlies do the Cristiano Ronaldo celebration

The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Sacramento Kings 125-110 in the NBA on Thursday night as Desmond Bane scored 31 points in what was a comfortable win.

First round draft pick Jake LaRavia was giving an interview when teammates Steven Adams and Jaren Jackson Jr showed up alongside him. As the interview was nearing its end, Adams appeared to say something in Spanish and then let out the famous ‘siiii’, much to the delight of the fans and the interviewer.

After the game, Bane alluded to how he is able to make his shots successfully. Speaking to the press, he said, “Shots are falling,” Bane said. “Early on I was getting similar looks and now I kind of got my legs under me and (now) they’re falling.”

Ja Morant for once was overshadowed by his teammate as he finished the game with 22 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Even Ja was singing praises of Bane after the game and said, “Back to back performances show you how good he is. I don’t feel like I’ve got to say it when you can see it.”
