The Seattle Kraken will welcome the Vancouver Canucks to the Climate Pledge Arena for an NHL preseason game on Saturday. Seattle won their last game against the same opponent 4-3 with the goals coming from Ryan Donato, John Hayden, Tye Kartye and Kole Lind. Goaltender Martin Jones had a great game as he was faced with 15 shots and saved all of them. John Hayden said after the game, “It’s a young group. I think we had a chip on our shoulder coming into this game and we just had a blast. We didn’t quit and it was a fun night.”

On the other hand, the Canucks saw Andrei Kuzmenko score a brace and have an assist while Tanner Pearson scored the other goal. Goaltender Thatcher Demko saved 17 of the 18 shots he faced and only allowed one goal. Head coach Bruce Boudreau said after the game, “The power play was moving around pretty good. We got a couple goals from it. But you need more than the power play to win games.”
