January’s winter transfer window may be closed, but that doesn’t mean players can’t join new clubs.

Teams can dip into the free market, while a host of countries are still able to register new recruits with their window yet to shut.

Turkey’s deadline day is on Wednesday, while clubs in Brazil and American’s Major League Soccer can bring in players until April.

Nottingham Forest have already been active despite the market being shut until the summer after nabbing Andre Ayew on a free transfer.

And the Ghanaian may not be the only mover on a Bosman this month to a Premier League side.

While he is an incoming to England, there could be two high-profile departures heading to Turkey.

One former Arsenal striker could also end up in America after reports claiming he has held talks with MLS Cup holders Los Angeles FC.

Here, talkSPORT runs you through just some of the potential deals that could be in the offing.

Nicolo Zaniolo

The 23-year-old has long been linked with a switch away from Roma, with Tottenham, Bournemouth and AC Milan all interested in the Italy international in January.

But a move never came about for the attacking midfielder, who can also operate as a forward, leaving him in the lurch.

With Zaniolo making it clear he wasn’t willing to extend his stay at the Stadio Olimpico, Roma have been keen to cash in on him.

And despite it looking like he may be staying in Rome until the summer, Super Lig leaders Galatasaray have now agreed a deal to secure his services.

Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano has stated that Galatasaray will fork out an initial £17.8million for Zaniolo on a deal until 2027, with the player to have a release clause of £31m.

It is understood that Zaniolo has made his way out to Istanbul to sign his contract before Wednesday’s deadline.

Philippe Coutinho

The Aston Villa playmaker is another that could be on the move to Turkey to join Galatasaray.

Coutinho has struggled for form since the Villans turned his temporary stay from Barcelona last summer into a permanent switch.

He is yet to chip in with a goal or assist from his 20 appearances for the Midlands outfit in all competitions this term.

And Goal have declared that Brazilian side Corinthians are willing to bring him back to his homeland, with his agent Kia Joorabchian confirming it is a possibility.

He said: “We will see! There is still a long way to go in the Brazilian market. Let’s see what happens.”

Jesse Lingard

Yet another player linked with a transfer to Turkey, the ex-Manchester United forward has struggled since linking up with Forest.

He only penned a one-year deal at the City Ground, and is without a goal or assist from his 14 top-flight outings.

Lingard has played a single minute of Forest’s last five games after falling out of favour under Steve Cooper.

According to TEAMtalk, both Fenerbahce and Besiktas are weighing up a move for the England international.

It has been said that the teams are ready to test Forest’s resolve of the player as the pair look to close the gap on league leaders Galatasaray.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Chelsea striker’s days at Stamford Bridge look to be numbered after falling down the pecking order under Graham Potter.

Since joining from Barca last summer, the ex-Gunners skipper hasn’t scored since his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace in October.

Aubameyang‘s last start for the Blues in the top-flight came in the 1-0 defeat against his former employers in west London on November 6.

It has been said that the 33-year-old has held talks with LAFC over a possible transfer as the MLS champions look to bring in a replacement for Gareth Bale following his retirement.

And with Aubameyang barely getting a sniff under Potter, coupled with the club signing a handful of new forwards in January, Chelsea may be prepared to let him leave.

Isco

The Spanish midfielder has been without a club since having his contract ripped up by Sevilla in December after just 12 LaLiga games.

Isco was set to join German side Union Berlin last month, though a move fell through at the last minute.

Turkish club Konyaspor then looked to be close to landing him, but that avenue was shut after they instead opted to bring in someone else.

Spanish news outlet Estadio Deportivo have claimed that Sean Dyche’s Everton are an interested party in their fight to avoid relegation.

But they state that Isco would rather join an MLS team instead of making the move to Merseyside, with several unnamed clubs in for him.

Danny Rose

The former Tottenham and Watford left-back has been a free agent since being released by the Hornets in September.

Rose had signed a two-year deal at Vicarage Road, but was let go a year early after the defender requested to leave.

Football League World have stated the 32-year-old could be an option for promotion-chasing West Brom to provide competition for Conor Townsend.
