Borussia Dortmund midfielder made his long-awaited World Cup debut for the USMNT during a pulsating 0-0 draw with England.
Though for some it wasn’t enough. Reyna came on in the 83rd minute for Timothy Weah and had very little impact as the US ran out of legs toward the end of the Black Friday clash.
Fans were scratching their heads when Reyna was left on the bench and frustration grew as the game wore on as the Americans went it search of winner.

Former NFL and current broadcast star Pat McAfee led an army of exasperated fans on social media who questioned why Reyna was on the sidelines.
‘Did Gio Reyna forget how to play soccer? What is the deal,’ McAfee wrote on Twitter.
Others piled on prior to the England-born midfielder’s introduction at the Al Bayt Stadium.
‘We really not playing Reyna? we really gonna have 4 more days of “he was available, coach’s decision”? I’m sick,’ one user wrote.
