On July 26, 2022, Tel signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. On August 31, 2022, he made his mark by scoring his first goal in a 5–0 victory over Viktoria Koln in the DFB-Pokal, making him the youngest goalscorer for the club in a competitive match at the age of 17 years and 126 days.

Tel continued to impress, scoring his first Bundesliga goal in a 2–2 draw against Stuttgart on September 10, 2022, once again becoming the youngest scorer for the club in that competition. On September 2, 2023, Tel showcased his talent by scoring a late-winning goal in a 2–1 away victory against Borussia Monchengladbach, ending a five-match winless streak against the opponent. Just a few weeks later, on September 20, he scored his first goal in the Champions League during stoppage time, securing a thrilling 4–3 victory over Manchester United.
