An insider told The Sun: ‘She has spoken a lot before about living with coeliac disease and wants to try and use her time on the show to inspire others who have to cook with a more limited range of ingredients,

‘While she isn’t the world’s best chef, Megan is a good cook and is confident in her recipes and ideas.

‘She is looking forward to showing the judges and the other competitors what she can do,’ they revealed.

The show, hosted and judged by John Torode and Greg Wallace, has previously featured other TOWIE stars including Pete Wicks and Gemma Collins.

Mailonline has contacted Megan’s representatives for comment.

Megan will allegedly be joined by Katie Price, who is returning to primetime TV after the success of her BBC documentary Katie Price: Harvey & Me.

A source told The Sun: ‘Katie’s really excited for people to see a different side to her – she’s actually a really good cook, and wants to show off her kitchen skills.

‘She won’t crumble under the pressure of cooking for Gregg Wallace and John Torode, because she has to cook for five fussy kids every night!’

Katie’s representative declined to comment further when contacted by MailOnline.

Coronation Street’s Melissa Johns will also reportedly brave this year’s MasterChef kitchen.

The announcement comes after Megan spoke out on Good Morning Britain about her battle with body dysmorphia and lip fillers on Friday.

Megan revealed she hasn’t looked back since ‘seeing the light’ and ditching her ‘dangerous’ lip fillers in a bid to be taken more seriously in the music industry.

She said:  ‘I look back and I do look at myself and I think, “What was I even thinking?” But I got myself into this little bubble, I had a bit of body dysmorphia.’

Megan explained: ‘I think you’ve just got to accept the way you look and I do think it’s made people look at me in a different light now.

‘I don’t really agree with the whole lip filler now either, I just feel like it can be dangerous.

‘And I think people need to just love who they are. Instagram is kind of a big lie at the end of the day.

‘People need to remember that people edit their pictures, they change the way they want to look. You need to just be yourself,’ she said.
