LEIGHTON, Ala. (WHNT) — Two people were arrested in a Colbert County drug bust, according to police.

The Leighton Police Department said on May 20, Sgt. Evans obtained a search warrant for a house on Pruitt Drive.

In the late afternoon. Evans and officer Smith, with help from the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant. The search, according to the LPD, led to the discovery of a “significant quantity of illegal narcotics, firearms and cash.”

The following items were recovered in the operation:

As a result of the operation, Gregory Miller and Jessica Anderson were arrested and transported to the Colbert County Jail. Both their bonds were set at $350,000.

Miller was charged with three counts of drug trafficking, second-degree receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and three alias writ of arrest warrants.

Anderson was charged with drug trafficking fentanyl, drug trafficking meth, drug trafficking ecstasy, second-degree receiving stolen property, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
