() The parents of Emmanuel Haro were arrested Friday, just over a week after the 7-month-old was reported kidnapped in California, according to local authorities.

Jake and Rebecca Haro were taken into custody from their residence in Cabazon, California, police said. No other details about the arrests were immediately available.

“Investigators will continue their search for seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro,” police said.

Emmanuel Haro was reported missing Aug. 14. His mother told police he was taken from the parking lot of a sporting goods store by a stranger who knocked her unconscious as she was changing his diaper.

Warrants were issued for cellphones belonging to the couple Wednesday.

Police say Rebecca Haro declined to be interviewed further when they questioned inconsistencies in the story about Emmanuel’s disappearance and that detectives haven’t been able to rule out foul play. Jake Haro’s attorney told “Banfield” on Tuesday that Haro wants to cooperate with police and has handed over all his electronic devices and passwords.

The attorney told that Rebecca Haro, whom he is not representing, agreed to a lie detector test if her lawyer could be present and that both parties could not agree on terms. Jake Haro’s attorney has gone into hiding, fearing for his own life amid death threats.

The sister of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, Promise Faith, was badly injured at 10 weeks old, to the point of no longer being able to see, talk or walk, according to influencer Abby Escobar.

Jake Haro pleaded guilty to willful child cruelty after Promise was admitted to a hospital with broken bones in 2018, according to the Orange County Register.
