Barron Poised for Leadership Role as Trump Gains Command of a 150 Million User Platform

Jack Advent, who previously produced content for President Donald Trump’s TikTok, celebrated the news of a looming agreement that could ensure the continuation of the beloved social media app. He also hinted at the possibility of Barron Trump taking on a more significant role within the company.

On Monday, Trump marked his return to TikTok by sharing a video from the Oval Office, which quickly amassed over 6 million views in just a few hours, showcasing his enduring popularity on the platform.

‘To all those young people of TikTok, I saved TikTok, so you owe me big,’ the president said. ‘And now you’re looking at me in the Oval Office.’

With the signing of an executive order, the president paved the way for investors to manage a U.S. version of TikTok, signaling that the long-awaited deal to preserve the platform was finally underway after experiencing several months of setbacks.

‘President Trump delivered on his promise to save TikTok and the millions of Americans who run their businesses and get their unfiltered news through the app,’ Advent told the Daily Mail in reaction to the deal.

‘TikTok Jack,’ as Trump proudly referred to him on the campaign trail, is known as Jack Advent, who helped introduce the president to the wildly popular social media platform.

The details have yet to be settled, but the president’s executive order requires that a majority of US investors would purchase the app and it would be operated in the United States with a seven-seat board of directors.

Advent praised the president’s efforts exclusively to the Daily Mail, but proposed that the president include young people on the board.

‘Young people are overwhelmingly the user base of TikTok. I’m hopeful President Trump will consider appointing his son Barron and maybe other young Americans to TikTok’s board to help ensure it remains an app young people want to keep using,’ he said.

For the president’s communications and media team, the success of the TikTok deal represents a big step forward for young people on social media.

‘Promises made, promises kept. President Trump recognizes TikTok is the favorite platform of America’s youth and a powerful tool for small businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive,’ former advisor for the Trump campaign Alex Bruesewitz told the Daily Mail. ‘It is now here to stay.’

The TikTok ban was signed by President Joe Biden in 2024, but President Trump kept the platform alive until a deal to sell the U.S. version to non-Chinese owners could be settled.

Former White House deputy press secretary Harrison Fields said Republicans should celebrate the deal.

‘Biden was going to just allow this thing to just end. There was no talk of a deal. The Democrats used TikTok to their benefit but they did nothing to save it, so this was an opportunity for the president to show leadership and he did,’ Fields told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.

He acknowledged there were still concerns about the future of the platform and the transfer of ownership, but that ultimately it was an important political moment.

‘A lot of young people, it’s crazy to say it, but they would vote for this issue,’ he said. ‘I think overall the deal is very successful.’

In 2024, Trump’s team quickly realized the platform was important for outreach and went all in, recruiting UFC CEO Dana White to help introduce the president to TikTok.

‘The president is now on TikTok,’ White said unceremoniously, pointing at Trump as they stood backstage of the UFC in June. ‘It is my honor,’ Trump replied, before the video cut to Trump’s walk-on to the stage for UFC.

Trump’s debut generated hundreds of millions of views, marking the largest political launch in TikTok history.

Trump was impressed with the numbers and from that day on, Advent was synonymous with the platform.

As one of the successful characters in the president’s orbit, Trump frequently gave a shoutout to Advent on the campaign trail.

‘That’s TikTok Jack, actually he’s became very famous,’ Trump said to the reporters who clustered around the former president as he spoke to them from a drive-thru window at a McDonalds, as he worked a shift at the fast food restaurant.

‘We have TikTok Jack working for us right?’ Trump told DailyMail.com in an interview in September. ‘And we have the biggest numbers in the history of TikTok.’

The team generated 35 billion views, across the different @realDonaldTrump and @TeamTrump TikTok accounts and associated hashtags, according to campaign sources.
