Denver Broncos cornerback Jahdae Barron found a unique way to celebrate his team’s recent victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, using pop icon Taylor Swift as a means of playfully taunting Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

The Broncos emerged victorious in a closely contested AFC West game on Sunday, edging out the Chiefs with a 22-19 win. This loss delivered a blow to Kansas City’s season, dropping their record to a troubling 5-5.

Barron shone brightly during the game, managing the formidable challenge of guarding the Chiefs’ standout tight end, Kelce. However, it was his actions off the field that caught the public’s attention.

Following the game, Barron took to social media to send a cheeky message to Kelce. In an Instagram story that has since been deleted, the rookie shared a snapshot of himself in action, defending Kelce during the Week 11 clash.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, the rookie shared a photo of him defending Kelce during the Week 11 matchup.

‘Tell swift put me on a song,’ he wrote under the picture, adding, ‘RIGHT NOW’ below.

The cornerback appeared to call out the singer after the Broncos’ 22-19 win over the Chiefs

The caption was a reference to Kelce’s pop sensation fiance, Swift, whose latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ featured multiple tracks about her romance with the tight end.

The post naturally caught the attention of Swift’s loyal legion of fans, who rarely hesitate to leap to the songstress’s defense.

‘If he’s not afraid of the Swifties he should be. Good luck to him,’ one social media user wrote in response to a screenshot of Barron’s post circulating on X.

Another asked: ‘Do they have to keep putting Taylor in their digs? Guys she doesn’t play football.’

‘Did he forget the CJ Gardner Johnson episode? Enjoy that regular season win,’ a third posted, referring to former Philadelphia Eagles star CJ Gardner-Johnson who taunted the Swifties after his team’s Super Bowl win over the Chiefs in February.

‘She already did bro !!!! THE SMALLEST MAN THAT’S EVER LIVED,’ another hit back with a reference to Swift’s track from her 2024 album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’

Barron appeared to attempt to quell the Swifties’ rage as he later returned to his Instagram story, writing: ‘Y’all trolling on my phone.’

‘I’m trying yo be a artist I just want some help,’ he added.

The divisional defeat saw Kelce and Kansas City slump to a concerning 5-5 record

The 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos saw the Chiefs fall to 5-5 for the first time since 2015, leaving them down in the unfamiliar position of third in the AFC West.

It is strange territory for a team that has never lost more than six games with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback. Another defeat at home to the in-form Indianapolis Colts this weekend will see them level that unwanted tally with six regular-season games still to play.

After their latest setback against Denver, Kelce was quizzed about Kansas City’s plight by older brother Jason on the latest episode of their New Heights podcast Wednesday.

‘A bunch of flags all over the place. Whether it was procedural penalties, which is the f***ing most frustrating thing ever, or holding penalties, which some I’m here for. Others I’m just like, “What are we even doing?” And obviously putting up touchdowns instead of field goals, man…’ Travis fumed.

‘It’s frustrating because it’s got to the point where we’re 5-5, we’re .500 going into the back end of the schedule here. Got seven games left, and we’ve basically got to run the table. And I haven’t been in this situation in a long, long time, man…

‘It’s even more frustrating knowing the kind of guys we have and the kind of talent we have, knowing the coaches that we have. Everybody’s got to look themselves in the mirror man. You can’t sit around pointing fingers.

‘Whatever you go into mentally when you’re frustrated, you’ve got to kick that s*** aside and think about how you’re gonna attack the day, and you’ve got to put all that selfish s***, all those things you want for yourself aside and it’s just got to be about this team and the guy next to you – and you’ve got to have fun doing it man.’
