A person of interest is in custody after someone spray-painted swastikas and “ICE rules,” on buildings in Little Village, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) — A 38-year-old Chicago man has been charged in connection with hateful vandalism spotted on the Southwest Side last week, Chicago police said.

Philip Dominguez has been charged with committing a hate crime to property and criminal damage to property, police said.

Dominguez was taken into custody just before 5 p.m. Saturday near his home.

CPD said he defaced multiple properties in the 10th District between July 19 and 20 in the 2700-block of West Cermak Road and 2500-block of South Central Park Avenue.

Police said a man spray-painted the words “ICE rules” and swastikas at multiple locations in Little Village.

One of the targets was a Latino community center.

He’s due in court Tuesday.
