JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men facing charges in the murder of 7-year-old Breon Allen have been connected to a 2024 murder of a 43-year-old woman, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.

Valondia Norris was shot and killed the morning of April 22, 2024 in an apartment complex’s parking lot in Jacksonville’s Arlington area, according to JSO. Officers responded to the Gregory Cove Apartments on Edenfield Road around 11 a.m. and found that Norris had been shot multiple times.

Officers eventually arrested 21-year-old Keith Johnson in January. He was charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence. Then, detectives charged 20-year-old Dannel Larkins with the murder.

Both Johnson and Larkins are already facing second-degree murder charges in Breon’s death in January. On April 3, they both pleaded not guilty.
