Disturbing News: Attacker of Rand Paul Staffer Just Released from Prison - the Day Before

As we reported earlier, a staffer for Rand Paul was brutally attacked in broad daylight in Washington, D.C. on Saturday and the news just broke on Monday, after Sen. Rand Paul announced it in a statement.

The staffer was walking down the street with a companion less than a mile and a half from the U.S. Capitol, when the suspect, Glynn Neal, 42, who was hiding in a corner allegedly “popped out of the corner and proceeded to stab (the victim) multiple times,” according to the police statement on the matter.

The staffer and the companion were able to take the attacker to the ground. The police arrived and found the staffer was found collapsed and bleeding, suffering from stab wounds and he was taken to the hospital with “life-threatening” injuries, according to Fox 5 DC.

The suspect was arrested and later charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (with a knife).

The staffer has been identified as 26 year old who worked on the Homeland Security Committee. He is in critical condition with stab wounds to the brain, lung, and ear, according to NBC reporter Tom Lynch.

It’s not clear yet if the fact that he was a Rand Paul staffer entered into the attack at all. Paul himself has been attacked multiple times, including when he was attacked by a neighbor and suffered six broken ribs as well as serious lung damage. Paul was also attacked by a leftist mob after the Republican National Convention in August 2020. He was also on the field when a leftist shot up the GOP baseball practice in 2017. Paul issued a statement praying for the staffer and thanking the first responders for their help.

Now it’s being reported that the suspect was just released from prison — the day before the attack. He was serving 12 years for serious crimes.

As Fox 5 DC reports:

Federal Bureau of Prisons records show Neal was released from prison on Friday – the day before the stabbing.

He spent nearly 12 years behind bars for compelling two North Carolina women to engage in prostitution through the use of threats.

He threatened them unless they agreed to prostitution and gave him the money from it.

What a lovely man. Why was this guy out at all? With that kind of record and crime, they should have been throwing away the key.

We keep seeing these issues over and over again where it appears there are violent incidents. Then, when more information comes out — it turns out that the person likely should never have been walking the street. Often, it’s because of lax leftist prosecutors. At least this guy got some time for his incredibly serious crimes. But, not enough, since he does this the day after he gets out.
