Donald Trump mesmerized by Elon Musk's four-year-old son X

President Donald Trump was left mesmerized by Elon Musk’s son as the four-year-old stole the show at an Oval Office press conference.

The billionaire, 53, visited Trump, 78, on Tuesday accompanied by his young son X Æ A-12, also know as ‘X.’

While at the White House, the adorable child held on to his father as they listened to Trump speak in front of a crowd of photographers. The father stole the show by making bold claims about his work with the Department of Government Efficiency, which seemed to impress Trump.

The details of the order were not immediately released by the White House, but it aimed to significantly reduce the federal workforce. The order urged agencies to hire only one new employee for every four employees who leave, as reported by Semafor.

Instead of signing the order in front of reporters, Trump engaged with Musk and his child for over 30 minutes. The president even asked Musk to share some of his findings during this informal meeting.

‘We do find it sort of odd that, you know, there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have ostensibly a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position,’ Musk said. ‘Which is what happened in USAID. We’re just curious as to where it came from.’

‘Maybe they’re very good at investing, in which case we should take their investment advice perhaps,’ Musk said.

Trump rubber-stamped what Musk was up to, telling reporters, ‘We don’t want an unsuccessful guy doing this.’

Musk, who was wearing all black with a matching black Make America Great Again hat, vowed to root out the highest-paid D.C. bureaucrats.

He also claimed without evidence that USAID officials were taking ‘kickbacks’, and that DOGE was being ‘transparent’ in its worth to slash the federal government.

Despite the impassioned speech Musk gave to reporters, his son was the star of the show in his knee-length camel jacket, polo sweater, and collared undershirt.

The four-year-old also donned a thick gold chain that hung diagonally across his chest.

While standing next to Trump, X made funny faces and stood playfully with his legs apart.

When little X wasn’t entertaining the journalists or laughing with his father, the four-year-old was nuzzling into his dad’s hair while sitting on his shoulders.

Both the President and Musk seemed largely unfazed by the cute outbursts.

In some images, the toddler was seen poking at his dad’s cheek and sticking his little fingers in his ears.

And, in other snaps, X sat on his knees on the ground, gazing up at the rest of those gathered in the Oval Office.

Elon, who has 12 kids from three different women, welcomed X in May 2020 with his ex-girlfriend Grimes.

This isn’t the first time that the SpaceX CEO has brought his son to a political event.

In December, the two were seen at Capital Hill in Washington, D.C., to meet with Senate Majority Leader John Thune.

He was also by his side at Donald Trump’s Election Night celebration at Mar-a-Lago last month.

During Musk’s interaction with Trump, he claimed, without evidence, that officials from the now-gutted USAID were taking ‘kickbacks’ and that ‘quite a few people’ in the government had ‘managed to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position.’

He also boldly claimed that DOGE had been ‘as transparent as possible’ in its efforts to cull large swathes of the US government.

‘We are actually trying to be as transparent as possible,’ Musk said, adding: ‘So all of our actions are maximally transparent. I don’t know of a case where an organization has been more transparent than the DOGE organization.’

Musk, who is himself an unelected member of the government, lashed out at officials for being part of a ‘bureaucracy.’

‘It is incredibly important that…the public’s elected representatives, the president, the House and the Senate, decide what happens as opposed to a large, unelected bureaucracy,’ he said.

The meeting saw Trump signing a DOGE-centric executive order.

Trump didn’t even bother signing the order in front of reporters, allowing Musk to hold court with his toddler for more than 30 minutes instead.

He joked that the scrutiny the Department of Government Efficiency is receiving is like receiving a ‘daily proctology exam.’

‘And I fully expect to be scrutinized and get a daily proctology exam, basically,’ Musk joked. ‘Might as well just camp out there.’

Trump rubber-stamped what Musk was up to, telling reporters, ‘We don’t want an unsuccessful guy doing this.’

Musk scoffed when asked about his ‘detractors’ and said the American people voted for these cuts.

‘I have detractors? I don’t believe it,’ the South African-born billionaire replied.
