Jacksonville police arrest suspect in Baymeadows murder case

The victim died after arriving at the hospital the same night.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has been arrested after police tied him to the murder of a man in the Baymeadows area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. 

In a release from JSO, the department says they arrested 42-year-old Mark Gordon in connection to the murder of 30-year-old Trevian Jackson on Oct. 4, 2025.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, officers responded to a seafood restaurant on Phillips Highway near Baymeadows Road. The officers could not initially locate a victim however, an hour later, the officers received an alert that Jackson arrived at local hospital with injuries from shooting which he later died from. 

JSO Homicide detectives, in partnership with the Crime Scene Unit and the State Attorney’s Office launched an investigation where they say evidence was found tying Gordon to the murder. Gordon was arrested yesterday and currently in custody at the Duval County Jail.
