As far as we know, Joe Biden is a multi-millionaire with no money troubles whatsoever. He’s also President of the United States, which means essentially every part of his life is financed at the highest levels.
Yet, according to Fox News, Biden took out a mysterious and very large line of credit against the equity in his Rehobeth Beach home. The house, which was purchased for $2.74 million in 2017, has secured the Bidens access to $250,000.
That came amidst multiple scandals, including the president’s illegal possession of classified documents and his son Hunter Biden’s legal troubles.
President Biden secured a $250,000 line of credit against his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, home as his son, Hunter Biden, faces an investigation into his tax affairs and amid his own classified documents scandal, records obtained by Fox News Digital shows.
Biden acquired the six-figure home equity variable rate line of credit from M&T Bank on Dec. 5, 2022, Sussex County filings show. Biden and his wife, first lady Jill Biden, initially purchased the residence in 2017 for $2.74 million, according to county records.
It is unclear why Biden quietly secured the line of credit, which allows him to borrow up to a quarter of a million dollars against his home’s equity, and the White House did not respond to a Fox News Digital inquiry on the matter.
Maybe Biden is just trying to remodel a bathroom, but the timing of this and the amount seems suspicious at best. Is this related to Hunter Biden having major problems paying his legal bills, which reportedly total into the millions of dollars? According to RedState, the president’s son and his lawyers are discussing the start of a legal defense fund, a move that would be ripe for corruption and abuse.
How Hunter Biden has already run up millions in legal bills despite not being charged with anything and not yet having to face a GOP-led investigation is another head-scratcher. I can’t imagine his dispute over trying to deny his child his last name has run up that kind of tab.
The history of the Biden family is that Joe Biden has been more than willing to enable his degenerate son, including the mixing of their finances. Whether that’s what this line of credit is about, no one knows yet. Still, questions need to be asked. Will they be asked? I wouldn’t hold your breath given who makes up most of the press corps.
As I said, though, perhaps this is all no big deal and there’s a mundane explanation. Biden is welcome to offer one if he’d like to tamp down the speculation.
