In COLUMBUS, Ohio, law enforcement is currently probing the tragic discovery of a newborn’s remains, unearthed Monday afternoon in the city’s North Side.

An official report indicates that officers responded to a call around 1 p.m. in the 4000 block of Karl Road. The call concerned a teenage mother who reportedly had a miscarriage the previous week and subsequently interred the infant on the premises.

Upon investigation, authorities uncovered a shallow grave containing the infant’s body, which was later declared deceased by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
