WASHINGTON – Health leaders at the White House, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Mehmet Oz, are poised to unveil a new initiative on Wednesday aimed at reducing the cost of medications.

Earlier this year, in May, President Donald Trump signed an executive order targeting the high cost of prescription drugs. The order introduces a “most favored nation” policy, which intends to cap the prices Americans pay for medications by aligning them with the lower prices found in other countries.
