Ksenia Karelina, an American ballerina imprisoned by Russia for more than a year for treason, is on her way back home after she was suddenly freed overnight. According to her boyfriend, she was accused of making a donation of about $50 to a Ukrainian charity after Russia invaded the country in 2022. NBC’s Molly Hunter reports for TODAY.
