JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two suspects after participating in “Operation Guardian Sweep.”

On Sept. 25, authorities were called to reports of a drug house complaint when they observed a Mercedes at the intersection Highway 269 and McDonalds Chapel Road that failed to signal a lane change. A traffic stop was conducted and resulted in arrests. The seizure of drugs eventually led detectives to obtain a search warrant for a home located in the 3300 block of Bond Avenue.

Robert Clark Jr., 26, was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and failing to signal lane change. His bond totaled over $3 million. Anthony Walker, 22, was charged with two-counts of drug trafficking and second-degree rape. He’s being held with no bond.

Both suspects are being held in the Jefferson County Jail. Anyone with information can contact JCSO at 205-325-1450.
