In a shocking incident that unfolded in the early hours of Thursday, a man was recorded on surveillance footage launching a knife attack at a Honduran restaurant in the Nutbush neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee.
Authorities have identified the suspect as 23-year-old Fernando Delgado-Hernandez. Following the incident, Delgado-Hernandez was apprehended at the scene by the police. He now faces serious charges, including attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG) — Tennessee police say a man was caught on camera attacking a man with a knife inside a Honduran restaurant near the Nutbush area of Memphis early Thursday morning.
Fernando Delgado-Hernandez, 23, was arrested on the scene and later charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
Memphis Police said when officers arrived at Rincon Catracho Restaurant, they found the victim with a laceration to his neck. The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said Delgado-Hernandez was also present and told officers, “I did it.”
Surveillance video at the restaurant showed the victim sitting at a table with a woman when Delgado-Hernandez walked up behind him and cut his throat, according to the affidavit of complaint.
Investigators said Delgado-Hernandez confessed to cutting the victim’s neck. The woman sitting with the victim also identified Delgado-Hernandez as the person responsible for the knife attack.
Police have not said what led up to the attack or updated the victim’s condition.
Delgado-Hernandez is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
